What Is The Express Entry System?
Canada Express Entry is the fastest and most popular pathway for skilled immigrants
to settle permanently in Canada. The express entry program is an online point-based
system used for processing the application of candidates who wish to apply for
Canadian Permanent Residency.
Candidates qualifying for the following programs are eligible to apply under the Express Entry Program:
Federal Skilled Worker (FSW)
Federal Skilled Trades (FSTW)
What Are The Requirements For Canada Express Entry?
There are different requirements for each of the programs. To apply under the Express Entry program as a skilled worker, a candidate must:
Have worked as a skilled worker for at least one year in the last ten years of continuous full-time (or equivalent part-time) work experience
A minimum of CLB (Canadian Language Benchmark) seven in either English or French
Have a post-secondary education assessed against Canadian standards with an Educational Credential Assessment
These are the minimum requirements; however, candidates with better profiles have higher chances of getting selected from the Express Entry pool.
How Does Express Entry Work?
Step 1: Find Out If You Are Eligible
Check the program you eligible for. Read the minimum requirements of the program and decide.
Step 2: Documentation
Before applying, make sure you have all the required documents including language test results, educational certificates, work experience letters, and others.
Step 3: Submit Your Express Entry Profile
While creating your profile, you are required to provide the required information. You will be then accepted in the pool of candidates and ranked against other candidates under the points-based system. The scores are based on the information provided while creating the Express Entry profile.
Step 4: Invitation To Apply (ITA)
Once you have submitted your Expression of Interest, you will enter the Express Entry pool. If you match the CRS cut off, you will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA), after which you have 90 days to submit your application for permanent residence.
Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
This program is for workers who:
have the skills education and work experience to contribute to the economy of a specific province or territory
want to live in that province and
want to become permanent residents of Canada
Each province and territory has its own “streams” (immigration programs that target certain groups) and requirements.

Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot

Eligibility requirements:
Work Experience:
Have qualifying work experience or have graduated from a publicly funded post-secondary institution in the recommending community. You need 1 year of continuous work experience (at least 1,560 hours) in the past 3 years.
Language requirements:
You must meet the minimum language requirements based on the NOC category that applies to the job offer in the community. This can either be the
Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB)
The minimum language requirements for each NOC category are
NOC 0 and A: CLB/NCLC 6
NOC B: CLB/NCLC 5
NOC C and D: CLB/NCLC 4
Educational requirements
You must have one of the following
a Canadian secondary school (high school) diploma or
a Canadian post-secondary certificate diploma or degree or
an educational credential assessment (ECA) report from a designated organization or professional body showing that you completed a foreign credential that’s equal to a Canadian secondary school (high school) or post-secondary certificate diploma or degree (your ECA report must be less than 5 years old on the date of your application).
Settlement Funds:
You must show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family after you get to Canada, unless you’re already working in Canada under a valid work permit.
Intend to live in the community
To participate in the pilot, you must plan to live in the community.

Language requirements:

Before making a job offer, you must be designated by the provincial government of the Atlantic province where the candidate will be working.
